Additional Property Attributes

The Tribe conduct an assessment a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of the abandoned structure. There where no REC enviromental how ever. Additional assessment need it because the building may potentially contain asbestos and the interior and exterior paint could contain lead-based paint due to the age of the structure. Asbestos and Lead paint was confirmed. The Tribe removed the building and area is ready for redevelopment.

Former Use: The subject property (SP) is an abandoned house owned by the Kickapoo Tribe of Indians Housing Authority (KTIHA). The SP is located approximately 5.5 miles west northwest of the City of Horton, Kansas. The SP consists of generally flat residential land. The property description is an abandoned house consisting of approximately 1,350 square feet.
