Additional Property Attributes

This assessment was implemented following a technical assistance award to the Tohono O'odham Nation Environmental Protection Office (TONEPO) to evaluate the subject property through the U.S. EPA Targeted Brownfields Assessment program. A Phase I environmental site assessment was performed to evaluate whether reported buried containers may be present at previously identified geophysical anomalies and whether those reported containers and their potential contents or former contents pose a threat to human health and the environment. Results of the Phase II assessment revealed the presence of TPH-MO in surface soils and TPD-d in pit water that should be further assessed to evaluate the extent of contamination.

Former Use: Acquired by TON in 1917; undeveloped or grazing land before 1991, commercial extraction of sand and gravel and asphalt mixing 1990 to 1993. Vacant from 1994 to present.
