Additional Property Attributes

The site consists of an approximately 5-acre area known as the Old Town Dump and an approximately 8-acre area, including Kelly Pond and the surrounding area. The EPA conducted Phase I and Phase II TBAs to determine if historical activities were conducted on the property or near the property impacted the soils and groundwater at the subject property. Several VOCs and SVOCs were identified in the soil and groundwater samples but only naphthalene was found at a concentration greater than NDEQ VCP RGs, in groundwater. Arsenic, Barium, and lead were also found in groundwater at concentrations exceeding the corresponding EPA MCLs and NDEQ VCP RGs.

Former Use: The old town dump was historically used as a refuse disposal site from the 1950s until the late 1980s or early 1990s. Kelly Pond has been used for recreational fishing.
