Additional Property Attributes

The Square is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports contemporary arts and cultural opportunities in North Central Montana. Paris Gibson Square, one of Great Falls oldest and most beloved landmarks, was built in 1895 and has as a center for learning for more than 120 years. The magnificent sandstone structure was completed in 1896, and served for the first 34 years as Central High School and then 45 years as Paris Gibson Junior High, before closing its doors in 1975, and reopening in 1976 as the Contemporary art Museum. The Square is situated on a full city block, and it is a jewel of the historic district. Future plans for a Visible Vault for art collections, expanded event space, a small theater, commercial kitchen and stable funding from long term renters has created a need for some minor structural updates.
