Additional Property Attributes

Eugenia Company LLC demolished the onsite structures and graded the site to serve as a storage yard.

Former Use: . The subject property is first seen as developed in 1904 with a commercial contractors yard. The subject property became a bulk petroleum facility (Gulf Refining Company) in at least 1924 with eight aboveground storage tanks (AST) containing oil and a gas tank. The last city directory listing of Gulf Refining is 1966, but Sanborn Maps show Gulf occupied the northeast building in 1968 and 1980. The property was owned by Gulf Oil Corporation before 1961. In 1961, the property was sold under a direct loan to AFSCO, Inc. Gulf Oil released the lien to AFSCO in 1978. Between 1966 and 1990, the subject property was also used by Climate Engineers, Inc. as a manufacturing facility for the fabrication of air conditioning ducts. The 1980 Sanborn Map indicates the operation was a warehouse for wholesale air conditioners. In 1981, Climate Engineers, Inc. and Merritt and Walding Properties (aka Merritt Oil) co-leased the subject property. Merritt Oil used the subject property as a bulk storage facility with ASTs that stored diesel, soybean oil, and diesel lubricant or additives. In 1993, Merritt Oil purchased the subject property. In 2009, the subject property became vacant when Merritt Oil relocated, removed one of the ASTs, and emptied the other three ASTs designating them as not in use, as it is currently.
