Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I report for the 500 E. Davie Street property was submitted 5/26/2006. (PPF - 500 E. Davie Street, 5/26/06). Phase II report for the site was submitted on 3/2/07. ABCA for the site was submitted in September 2007. 30-day public comment period for the ABCA expired November 15, 2007. On site cleanup activities were initiated on May 30, 2008 and were completed by the end of June 2008. The Cleanup Report was submitted to EPA and NCDENR on 9/5/08.

Former Use: The property was a former warehouse and commercial space with various operations over the years including: repossession service, automotive maintenance and repair, and laundry and dry cleaners. The property is currently vacant. The warehouse portion is in relatively good repair and the other portions are dilapidated. The City of Raleigh purchased the property in 2001. A portion of the site was potentially owned and operated by the City of Raleigh as an auto repair facility in the 1940's. It was owned by Sanders Investment Corp. from 1964 to 1981 and individual owners from 1981 to 2001.
