Additional Property Attributes

The Arts and Crafts Building property is located 700 ft. east of Cheyenne Ave. and Highway 212. The commercial building, a single-story structure, was investigated as part of the Phase II. It is used as an arts and crafts center and a gift shop. A previous Phase I ESA indicated the potential presence of hazardous building materials. The Northern Cheyenne tribe wished to assess the materials to better understand any hazards posed to the public. Asbestos was not present the sampled building materials and was determined to not be a contaminant of concern on site. lead based paint was found in poor condition on the exterior of the building and in the soil around the foot print of the building.

Former Use: The property is owned by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. The Dull Knife family owned the building prior to the tribe and ran a gift shop in the location.
