Property Highlights

This site has successfully completed the brownfields program and is currently ready for re-development. Proposed re-development plans include mixed retail and residential properties. Contaminants on site addressed during remediation/cleanup were PCBs, lead. PCB contaminated soil was removed and dispose of property. Lead contaminated soil was treated to remove the lead, lead was disposed of properly. There are 2 deed restrictions on site: 1 There is a no dig restriction on the site below 12" due to some contaminated soil left in place, with the exposure pathway eliminated by an asphalt cap, 2 the integrity of the asphalt cap in place must be maintained. Site owner secured a revolving loan fund from the Pulaski County, Arkansas, Brownfields Program for use for site cleanup. A Certificate of Completion was issued by the ADEQ to the site on 8/27/2008. Site owner has begun the cleanup/re-development process. Once complete ADEQ will be ready to issue the Certificate of Completion. Contaminants on site are PCB's, lead, other ls. Institutional controls on no groundwater usage, and no digging on site will be part of the deed restriction. Some soils will be removed with clean back fill brought in in their place, some will be left on site covered with parking structures, etc. Update 9/3/2008. Completion completed. Certificate of Completion issued on 8/27/2008.

Former Use: Former disposal property for an automotive business Former manufacturer of oak cottonseed oil barrels, a stave company, an asphalt plant & asphalt tank, a scrap paper company, scrap metal company/junk yard, office buildings, residential, rail yard & uncontrolled dump site.
