Institutional and Engineering Controls

Development of the easement is still in the planning stages. Isolated areas of soil with arsenic above the SRL could be mitigated as part of redevelopment. An isolated area of soil PAH could be handled and disposed during development. Areas adjacent to the former UPRR site had low-level concentrations of VOC and PAH that are limited in extent. Additional groundwater monitoring may be needed in an isolated area to confirm/address the initial identification of elevated concentrations of cadmium and selenium. No additional soil or groundwater investigation is necessary.
