Additional Property Attributes

The Site is approximately 3 acres in size and is located on the north side of the village of North Komelik. The Site is surrounded primarily by undeveloped desert land on all sides. There are three buildings currently located on the Site, including the hen house, the egg processing building with an addition used as an employee break area, and a manufactured home. Other features observed on the Site include a conveyor belt manure chute on the southeast side of the hen house, a feed silo on the southwest side of the hen house, a water tank on the south side of the egg processing building, four truck docks, and two abandoned trucks.

Former Use: The former Sif Oidak District Egg Farm was undeveloped desert land until a commercial egg farming facility was constructed in approximately 1989. The facility was closed between 1990 and 1996, and has been unoccupied, with the exception of occasional transients, since closing. A review of historical aerial photographs indicates minimal activities or changes occurred at the Site after 1991.
