Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property consists of an approximately 12-acre parcel at 60 Park Street, in Springfield, Vermont. The property includes an approximately 95,000 square foot two-story school building with a full basement. The building is partially used for school district administration and alternative education programs. The building serves as a central supply for other district schools. Additionally there is a 2-bay concrete maintenance garage on the property that is used to service district owned equipment and vehicles, and a pole shed used to store sand. Hazardous substances and petroleum products were noted in several locations on the property. The property was developed with five residences in 1869. The property was granted to the Springfield School District in three separate parcels from 1902-1951. A total of five public school related buildings have been constructed on the property over the years. Four of the school buildings were combined into the current school building and the fifth (graded school) burned down many years ago.
