Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The 'Trespass Shooting Range' was started in trespass in the early 1990s. It is located on a Section Line easement north of the Delta Junction Airport and between the Richardson Highway and Delta River. A letter was sent to the City regarding its trespass status in the mid-90s and the site had signage posted banning shooting and a large earthen berm was placed to reduce access along the river, a location used to dump items. This reportedly limited shooting for about 2-years, after which the public began to re-use the site since the berm acted as a natural barrier. The berm contains lead and brass from small munitions, and the ground is littered with shell casings. Various targets have been utilized and appear at various times and in various sizes.
