Additional Property Attributes

The target property consists of an approximately 26 acre, irregularly shaped parcel of land with an approximately 400,000-square foot brick and metal building located on the central portion of the property. The majority of the building is vacant warehouse space. Multiple businesses also occupy potions of the property which include the following: The East Central Community College/Louisville Career Advancement Center; the Prairie Opportunity agency maintain offices within the northern portion of the building; A martial arts school maintains practice and office space on the second floor of the northern portion of the building; Hewlett Manufacturing, a plastic molding company, operates in the northwestern portion of the building; and the Super Grip tire distributor and Taylor Machine Works use the southern portion of the building as warehouse/shipping space. The Hewlett Manufacturing, which manufactures offshore oil filters and other products, conducts plastic molding in the northwestern portion of the building. The Hewlett company maintains machinery that perform the molding, shaping, and cutting processes used to manufacture their products. Some flammable liquids are stored within the building, but are kept in secured chemical cabinets. Three unlabeled 55-gallon drums and one 300-gallon tote were observed. Staining was observed both within and outside of the shallow containment basin the drums were located in.
