Additional Property Attributes

Subject property is former rural oil distribution facility. Adjoining property owner of multifamily site would like to acquire subject property for redevelopment as new multi-family. Subject property owner says prior above ground and below ground tanks were removed but there is no documentation. Additional assessment needed to determine if impact present and if yes, whether contaminants are present at levels suitable for intended use.

Former Use: Based on historical sources reviewed the subject property operated as a bulk fueling facility from about 1967 to 1990. Information reviewed indicates that at least seven registered USTs along with associated piping and dispensers were in operation at the facility. Humble Oil & Refining Co. acquired the property from Rankin M. Hudson and Wife, Helen S. Hudson in 1967. Fred and Elizabeth Millsaps acquired the property from Exxon Corporation (in late 1972 Humble Oil & Refining Co. adopted the name Exxon Company) in 1984. Cleveland Oil Company, Inc. (current owner) acquired the property in 1987 from Fred and Elizabeth Millsaps.
