Additional Property Attributes

Terracon Consultants was hired by the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas to perform a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) consistent with the procedures included in ASTM Practice E 1527-05 at Southwest corner of 140th Street and Dewberry Road, Horton, Brown County, Kansas, the site. Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) or the presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products were not identified in connection with the site. After verification by the Kickapoo Environmental Office, the property is cleared and does not require additional investigation at this time.

Former Use: The site is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of 140th Street and Dewberry Road near Horton, Brown County, Kansas. The site is an approximate one acre tract of land that has been improved with one former residential structure. However, the structure is in disrepair and unoccupied. Based on a review of the historical information, a residential structure has been located on site since at least 1960. According to the Kickapoo Environmental Director Luke Terry, the residential structure on site was burned down approximately 4 years ago. The historical aerial photographs indicated the adjoining properties have historically consisted of vacant and agricultural land. RECs were not identified during the historical review. According to the regulatory review, the only owner listed is the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas.
