Additional Property Attributes

The property is currently abandoned and not used for any commercial purpose. The mobile home on the property is abandoned and has been used illegally as a dumping ground for computers, televisions, and other electronic waste. Household waste was also found, consisting mainly of trash. The main house on the property is also abandoned and parts of the roof and floor have collapsed. There is a burned house structure that remains as rubble and a concrete foundation. The fir occurred in the spring of 2009. There are an additional 8 sheds on the property which are in fair condition, but have also been used for dumping of household waste, motor oil, antifreeze, and pesticides.

Former Use: The property is in east-central Moody County near Flandreau, SD. It is approximately 1.0 acre in size developed with one mobile home, one abandoned and decaying house, remains and foundation of a burned house and eight abandoned and decaying sheds. The immediate area is used as farmland. The area was established as a reservation around the late 1800s to early 1900s as trust land controlled by the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe.
