Prospective purchasers of the property have been unwilling to make an offer or buy the property without knowing the potential quantity or condition of friable asbestos and lead based paints in the building. The Property owner believes this information is essential to completing a successful property transaction and putting the building back into productive uses.

Former Use: The Old Carbon County Medical Building Property consists of a 0.71-acre and the building consists of a ~7,500 sq. ft. building historically utilized as a hospital and medical services building. It is located at 305 Center Street in East Carbon. According to a deed available on the Carbon County Utah Geographical Information System (GIS) website, the Carbon Medical Association acquired the building from Utah Permanente Hospital in February of 1969. The Old Carbon County Medical Building was reportedly built between 1970 and 1972.
