Additional Property Attributes

The Site is located at South Memdawee Run in Dresslerville in Douglas County, Nevada and occupies approximately 0.5 acres of land in a rural area. The Site is held in trust by the U.S. Department of Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs for the Applicant, the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. The Site is surrounded by vacant land, the East Fork of the Carson River, residential developments, and a commercial development. From the mid-1970s to around the mid-1990s, the Site was used as a community resource center and administrative office for the Washoe Dresslerville Community. The Applicant has expressed interested in redeveloping the Site to repair and renovate the existing structure, known as the Pagoda Building, for renewed future use as a community resource center. In December 2021, the Washoe Tribe requested assistance from NDEP Brownfields Program to cleanup the Site. Asbestos abatement was performed on the Site in June 2022.
