Additional Property Attributes

The Site consists of one 0.25-acre parcel that is currently vacant with no operations and is located on the northwest corner of Jackson Street and North Court Street in downtown Lake Village. The Site originally supported the Lakeshore Motor Company as early as the 1960s until the 1970s, and then Hester's Garage from the 1970s until the late 2000s, both of which supported automotive repair and service operations that likely used or generated both petroleum constituents and hazardous substances, including solvents. Additionally, the 1928 and 1943 Sanborn maps depict a gasoline UST in the Jackson Street right-of-way adjoining the Site's southern property boundary. This period preceded UST compliance and closure regulations, and it is unknown whether the tank and/or its contents were removed. Due to the UST location (immediately adjoining the Site), a release of gasoline from the tank has the potential to impact the subsurface at the Site.
