Additional Property Attributes

The subject property has served a variety of uses dating back to at least 1897. Historical uses include a restaurant, meat market, and a pet food slaughter house. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment identified the location of two historical coal chutes on the north wall of the 365 Elm Street building basement, and two former openings were observed on the exterior north side of the building along the sidewalk that have since been filled in with concrete. Contamination may be present in association with the coal chutes including heavy metals, semi-volatile organic compounds, and volatile organic compounds. A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is recommended.

An asbestos-containing materials (ACM) survey was completed concurrent with the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. The survey identified asbestos in roofing materials and on parapet walls. All ACM must be property removed and disposed of prior to any building demolition or renovations.
