Additional Property Attributes

This property has been a blight on the town since JARD went bankrupt. Redeveloping this property will either allow the town to create a town garage or start receiving taxes again owed about 600,000. PPF - Jard Chemical Company, 9/14/06 HRH Capital Partners acquired the property as a BFPP and completed the cleanup under the state's Voluntary Cleanup Program. The state issued Certificate of Completion on 7/23/2011. The actual cost of the cleanup to HRH is unknown, so 100,000 was entered as a rough estimate.

Former Use: Jard Company manufactured capicitors, non-fluid transformers and motors used in household appliances at the property from 1969 to 1989. Prior to 1969, the property was undeveloped woodlands. Jard went into bankruptcy in 1989. This property is owned by a bankrupt defunct company. The mortgage is held by BCIC and the Town will be taking it through tax sale.
