Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The dumpsite is located less than 1/4 mile northwest of the abandoned Columbia Ward Fisheries (CWF) facility on the northwest shore of Chignik Lagoon. It was used by the CWF facility in the 1980s through the early 1990s. The dumpsite is located just north of a low pass separating the unnamed stream valley from the Dago Creek Valley. After the CWF facility ceased operations, trash was apparently still disposed of at the dumpsite by people occupying properties in the area. This practice appears to have continued until just a few years ago. The community is concerned about contaminants from the dumpsite entering Dago Creek, which flows into Chignik Lagoon.
