Additional Property Attributes

Property is generally undeveloped, has no permanent structures, and is partially used by an adjacent owner, Garfield Junkyard, Inc. Lot 25B is developed with a parking lot that is used by Angela's Auto Repair. The site has historically been used for residential and commercial purposes, including as a dry cleaners from at least 1923 through 1965. Suggest Phase II because: an unknown pipe was observed that could be indicative of an underground storage tank; the site's eastern boundary is the former Morris Canal, which was filled with non-indigenous soil in 1924; adjoining properties to the south and southeast were identified as containing chromium ore production residue; lots 26-32 include a deed notice for polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons; two 250-gallon aboveground storage tanks were observed on lot 25B; and the site was historically used as a dry cleaners.

Former Use: Property has historically been used for residential and commercial purposes and is targeted for redevelopment as the proposed Berry Lane Park.
