Additional Property Attributes

Capasso Restoration has been operating on the site since 2008 and has grown from 15 to 50 employees. Soil cleanup was completed in September, 2015 and ground water monitoring has begun.

Former Use: The 1.77 acre property is located along the Quinnipiac River and a 14,500 square foot, circa 1940, single story industrial building is located on it. The site was part of a larger parcel occupied by the bigelow Boiler Company from circa 1870 through circa 1940. Since then the property has been primarily used as a scrap metal storage yard and shipping terminal, with use in the 1980's by Sunshine Fuels, Connecticut Food Bank, and prior to 1996 by Bell Transport and New Haven Drydock.
