Former Use: The site was cleared land used for waste disposal purposes. There were no structures on the property. The site consists of an unlined, capped and closed municipal landfill, vegetated with grass which covers an area of approximately seven acres, located off Lunenburg Road (Route 70), approcimately 2.5 miles north of downtown Lancaster. The landfill was opened in 1960 and capped in 1994. Since that time there has been non activity on-site, with the exeption of periodic environmental sampling and grass mowing.
