Additional Property Attributes

The adjacent properties Texaco 2222 NE 238th Dr and BP Station #11031 2225 NE 238th Dr/I-84 both underwent environmental assessment and are currently closed LUST sites.

Former Use: The property located at 2055 NE 238th Avenue is the site of Wood Village City Hall. An underground storage tank was discovered on the property about 15 years ago when relocating a sidewalk on the west side of the building in order to plant flowerbeds. The tank was left in place and the tank contents and tank status are unknown at this time. There is concern due to a well on the City Hall property. The site is not listed with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality DEQ LUST or ESCI. The land parcelsto the north, formerly owned by Diebold lumber retail lumber and BP, were acquired by ODOT when constructing the I-84 ramp. The City acquired the western portions of the north parcels the former lumber lot once ODOT had completed their road construction work. The City public works department was formerly located on the property and their maintenance yards was located just west of City Hall. Phase II assessment, including sampling beneath the tank now removed was completed in 11-08. The City of Wood Village partnered with Metro to fund cleanup that was completed simultaneously with Phase II assessment.
