Additional Property Attributes

The old Tribal Council Chambers and Rec Hall were built in approx. 1935. Restrooms were built later. Three buildings that contained lead, asbestos, PCBs were cleaned up, demolished and properly disposed of to make room for new multi-purpose facility and chapel.

Former Use: The three buildings are located in Ute Park, a public park on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation, in Ignacio, Colorado. The buildings include a Recreation Hall, a Tribal Chambers building, and a restroom building Figure 2. The buildings are approximately 2,250 square feet sf, 1,000 sf, and 375 sf, respectively. The buildings are located in SW�, SE�, Section 5, Township 33 North, Range 7 West of the 6th Principle Meridian, LaPlata County, Colorado.
