Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I ESA recommended the completion of a Phase II ESA due to the historical/current use of the property and adjacent properties. However, insufficient grant funding exists. The Marion Central Corridor Master Plan identifies the site in Phase 3C of its redevelopment efforts. Specifically, the plan highlights the site for future restaurant/entertainment space. This use will compliment the nearby proposed 50,000 square-foot civic center and adjoining hotel.

Former Use: The site, which currently contains a mix-use single-family residential home, was undeveloped until approximately 1961. Past commercial uses include a refrigerator repair shop from 1961 to 1966 a warehouse in 1971 an automotive repair shop in 1976 and 1981 and a towing service from 1986 to 1996. The property currently contains a single-family home with a repair shop in the attached garage.
