Main Street Station II is a former gas station site adjacent to Main Street Station I; Main Street Station I is a historic thre-story structure hich has been restored. The current project entails the creation of a transfer station for Greater Richmond Transit Corporation (GRTC) in the registered struture and adjoining train shed (a noncontributing structure). Main Street Station I and II encompass 11.5 acres and involve a $54 million investment. Massive Federal , state and City funds were applied to the structure as well as drainage improvelment to the site and surrounding area. Detailed financing is availabe if requested. The project is on hold awaiting the result of a detailed market study for the area.

Former Use: Past ownership includes the Commonwealth of Virginia and the City's train station (AMTRAK); the site has amain brick structure and a very large train shed portion (two-story)
