Property Highlights

Historic building preserved with brownfields assessment and cleanup funding. Graduates from Sitting Bull College Job Trainging Grant Program were employed for cleanup.

Former Use: The Old Stockade Building was constructed in approximately 1874. In 2006 it was acquired by the SRST from the BIA through a Tribal Council Resolution. The tribe applied for and received an EPA cleanup grant for the site. Cleanup will begin next year.
