Additional Property Attributes

The BTA was conducted for the City of Wichita in response to environmental uncertainties associated with the old railroad corridor. The corridor is one of several City corridors being targeted for reuse as a walking/biking path. Recognized environmental conditions RECs associated with the BTA property were identified as the following: the historical use as a railroad corridor and common contaminants associated with railroad corridors particularly PAH's, arsenic, and lead and oil well operations located upgradient and an "active" State Hazardous Waste site located in the vicinity of the corridor. Phase II activities detected contaminants. However, further groundwater sampling is necessary to confirm and validate the suspect data collected from GP-6 and GP-2.
