Site was formerly a Greyhound Bus Lines maintenance and parking facility and a gasoline station but is a current bus parking and dispatch facility for DC public schools with three temporary office trailers, a storage shed and a partially sub-grade structure that appars to be the basement level of a former structure. Also two gasoline stations formerly occupied the site. Historical use of the site was for bus repair from 1937 until 1995 and this might be a potential source for petroleum contamination in the facility.Based on the age of the existing basement level structure,Asbestors Containing Material ACM might be a concern. Two LUST incidents that occured at the gas station adjacent to the Subject Property with prevelent free product might be a potential source for soil and groundwater contamination at the subject property.

Former Use: The subject property is improved with three mobile office trailers, a storage shed and a partially sub-grade storage building. The property is currently used as a bus parking and dispatch facility for the DC public schools. Site was formerly occupied by a bus repair and storage yard operated by Greyhound Bus Lines, which operated a repair garage.Two gasoline stations formerly occupied the site and at least 10 USTs were located on site, four of which may be abandoned-in-place. The historical use of the site was for bus repair and painting which would include the use of chlorinated solvents. According to the District of Columbia property records,a portion of the property is owned by the Greyhound Corporation while two other portions are owned by GLI Reality Company, care of Greyhound Lines and Greyhound Garage Washington,Inc.
