Additional Property Attributes

The BTA was conducted for the City of Phillipsburg to evaluate a property they acquired from the National Guard. A total of 18 of the State's 56 National Guard Armories were targeted by budget cuts to be closed. Phillipsburg's armory was on the list. The proposed reuse will be a recreational facility to host community programs. Petroleum associated with historical vehicle maintenance was a REC. Phase II indicated TPH-DRO in groundwater above cleanup standards. Based on the Phase III results, the TPH-DRO contamination does not appear to be migrating off-site, but recording an Environmental use Control EUC on the deed will be necessary to restrict groundwater use at the property.

Former Use: National Guard Armory since construced in the 1950's.
