Additional Property Attributes

The site is the proposed location of Wyandotte County Park Sports Complex, consisting of multiple sports fields including the Kansas City Wizards Professional Soccer training facility. The Phase II fieldwork was initiated in response to petroleum contamination detected in the soil and groundwater, and metals detected in the groundwater during previous non-KDHE Program specific assessment activity conducted in April 2010. A total of 15 locations were sampled for soil and/or groundwater. The Phase II investigative activities were primarily tailored to further define the area of impacts from the leak. Petroleum impacts were detected in the soil and groundater exceeding KDHE cleanup levels.
