Additional Property Attributes

The BTA was conducted for the City of Moran to evaluate a property they will be utilizing for the construction of a new City Library and Storm Shelter. The new library will be 3,250 square feet and include a storm shelter that will accomodate 120 people. Leveraged funding includes 367,131 CDBG and City matched funds of 70,000. RECs were identified as: the historic use of the property garage with a gas tank, machine shop, John Deere/Western Auto Store, and newspaper production and the location of former gas stations with respect to the site. A Limited Asbestos Screening was conducted as an additional scope outside of the ASTM-1527-05 Phase I assessment. ACM was not identified in the building. The Phase II indicated that there were no significant environmental impacts in the soil and groundwater. Based on information collected during the Phase I report, it appears that the All Appropriate Inquiry was obtained with no significant data gaps. It is recommended that Phase II acitvities be conducted at the Property due to the identified RECs.

Former Use: Commercial from 1927 as a store, movie theater, machien shop, garage with gas tank, newspaper, city hall, library, and John Deere Auto.
