Additional Property Attributes

To date there are no obvious environmental concerns. The property is for sale and has had several interested developers inquire about the property. The Austin Brownfields staff met with the community representatives to identify reuses while soliciting their support for future projects at the property. The community is in support of single family housing, condos, town homes, and light commercial. The property owners received a Certificate of Completions from TCEQ in August 2002. The Brownfields staff continues to assist by providing information and seeking additional assistance for the sale and redevelopment of the property. (PPF � Turner, 1/31/06) An Electomagnetic Induction (EI) subsurface imaging study was completed and delivered to developers and property owners interested in the development of the Turner property. The purpose of the study was to delineate the edges of the landfill and development locations on the property. (QR 31, 4/1/06-6/30/06)

Former Use: Turner was a rock quarry, turned landfill which operated from 1955-1957. Illegal dumping continues to be a problem for the property. The property has multiple owners and is for sale.
