Additional Property Attributes

The BTA was conducted for the City of Parsons to evaluate a property that will be reused as the location for a manufacturing facility, which will lease the property from the City. A REC as identified as: the historical presence of a former manufacturing facility at the site on historic fire insurance maps. Based on the Phase II investigation, shallow bedrock was encountered and groundwater was absent. As a result, groundwater samples were not collected for analysis from teh site per the KDHE-approved Work Plan. Soil was collected ner the surface and just above the confining bedrock . Based on the analystical data collected from the Phase II, VOC constituents and metals were not detected above the KDHE Tier 2 Risk Levels in any of the soil samples collected. Due to the shallow bedrock and the absence of groundwater above a confining bedrock , the potential for shallow groundwater contamination at the site is unlikely. No further assessment is being recommended.

Former Use: M.F. Smith Manufacturing in 1899, 1905 Woodworking Machinery facility, Church in 1920.
