Additional Property Attributes

Former Greenville Transit Authority Properties From the Phase II, " To determine if contaminants from these prior site uses have impacted ground water beneath the site, additional drilling into the underlying bedrock aquifer will be required."

Former Use: Property operated as a Greenville Transit Authority bus maintenance and operations facility since 1983. Two underground storage tanks with dispensers are present on the proeprty for storage of gasoline and diesel. Prior historical use of the property included the Greenco Beverage Company, Acme Distributing Company beer distributorand Norfolk Southern Railway yard. Warehouse storage of cotton, fertilizer, lumber and a coal yard occurred prior to commercial development. Adjacent parcel is vacant with one warehouse building and outbuilding - property has been owned by Greenville Transit Authority since 1984 and most recently by the South Carolina Children's Theatre for use as a warehouse and craft shop. Prior site uses included Collins Cadillac Dealership and warehousing of cotton, fertilizer, and coal.
