Additional Property Attributes

BTA conducted for the City to evaluate a property they are proposing to reuse as a community building and storm shelter. The building would also be used to house public records with the aspiration of accomodating a small library. RECs were: petroleum products and volatile organic compounds VOC associated with adjacent properties. A Limited Asbestos Survey was also conducted as an additional scope outside of the ASTM-1527-05 Phase I assessment. An onsite domestic well was sampled to determine possible impact from the offsite RECs. Results indicated that petroleum products and VOCs have not impacted the dirnking water on the property. However, if this well is to be utilized in the future for public use, it is recommended that it be periodically inspected and tested by the Harper County health department. No further assessment is being recommended at this time and the proerpty is cleared for reuse as a community center.
