Additional Property Attributes

2010 - Asbestos was identified in window glaze and vinyl flooring/mastic. Flooring is located in the multi-purpose building, lodge, museum and restaurant. Windows are located in the lodge. Mercury found in multiple thermostats throughout building. Freon, forane and other chemicals in roof storage room. Property likely to be demolished or potentially turned into an elder care facility for Tribal members. Former Use: SUIT 1874-1895 BIA 1895-1969 SUIT 1969-present. Museum, lodge built in 1960s by SUIT, casino & MPB in 1990s, used until 2008. 2020 - Vacant lot along a channelized stream. Previously used for the Old SUIT Casino. The tribe is interested in redeveloping the site as a potential green space.
