Additional Property Attributes

This property is being looked at as a potential site for a new elementary school. In conjunction with the use of this property as part of the new schools, new neighborhoods, there is also the possibility of wetlands preservation of an adjacent site (PPF - 600 Bassett Street, 8/2/07).

Former Use: The property is vacant land consisting of grass and foundation remnants from the demolished warehouse. This site has been used for manufacturing of ceramic melting pots, furnance blocks, and tile from clay; a gasoline station; an auto repair facility; commercial printer; dry cleaners; photographic development lab; junkyard; warehousing and office facility; treatment, storage and processing/recycling facility for spent solvents and oils; woodworking shop; grocer, mattress company; wrecking and demolition company; and a flea market.
