Former Use: This 9.7-acre property is currently owned by the First Bank of Baldwin located in Baldwin, Wisconsin. The First Bank of Baldwin purchased the property, as the mortgage holder, from the St. Croix County Sheriff�s public sale on April 16, 2009. The bank paid the delinquent property taxes and water assessments and conducted a Phase I ESA and limited environmental sampling to apply for �lender liability exemption� under s. 292.21, Wisconsin Statutes. The former Jongquist Family Kitchen property is an abandoned food processing plant that produced potato salad, coleslaw and other food products from 1989 until bankruptcy and plant shut down in October 2008. Prior to 1989, the facility operated as a creamery under various owners back to around 1917. In addition, a livery was once present on the property circa 1902, and a Standard Oil bulk plan 3 ASTs and one oil house operated on the North parcel. The Union Pacific Railroad borders the property to the north and a former rail spur served the property to the south of the ASTs and north of the creamery building and a coal bin. There is currently a main processing building, approximately 51,000 square feet, and three storage outbuildings on the site. The main building is made up of several buildings, many with adjoining walls and interior access. There is a former outdoor coal storage bin on the northern portion of the property and two existing potable wells are present on the southern portion.
