Additional Property Attributes

The site building was built in 1961. H&H Screw operated on the site from 1961 until June 1986, manufacturing screwed, pen tips and l parts for screw machines. Waste generated included cutting oils, chlorinated degreasing solvents, sludge and contact water from a TCE distillation recovery system and non-contact cooling water. H&H Screw disposed of a majority of the wate generated on-site in a former waste lagoon located north of the building. From 1987 through 1991, the site was operated by Peerless Precision, a precision machining company, generated chlorinated waste and waste oils. The building is currently unoccupied and the Town of Lincoln owns tax title to it. The site investigation was used to collect data to charzcterize the nature and extent of impacts to the site, delineate the impacts and determine the remedial alternatives.

Former Use: MACHINE SHOP The City of Lincoln currently owns the tax title the the property, but has not foreclosed on the tax title due to environmental liability concerns.
