BTA conducted for the City of Atchison to evaluate a property that is proposed for relocation and expansion of an existing industrial business. Historical industrial activities and current vacant status have hindered the reuse of the property. RECs were identified as potential petroleum and hazardous substances associated with historical iron and metal industrial operations on the property, as well as current and historical activities associated with adjacent properties. A Phase II is recommended to commence.
