Additional Property Attributes

The City of Atlanta took ownership of the former Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) building in late 2010. As part of the City's plan to reuse the 1960s building, the City's Brownfield Program funded a Facility Assessment with a focus on indoor air quality. The City Council authorized a budget of $1.7 million for lease and improvements to move in the City's Department of Watershed Management. The Department now safely occupies a large portion of the building.

Former Use: The building (Office Tower) is an 11-story structure built in the 1960s. The Office Tower encloses approximately 175,000 square feet of floor area. It was the former office of the local newspaper of record, Atlanta Journal Constitution.
