The NW corner of the property is improved with a historic art-deco building that was constructed in 1930, the former New York Central Railroad Substation No. 10 Inwood Station. The building has been vacant since 1980s. The City began renovations of the abandoned substation in 2009. Remainder of the property is undeveloped green space used as Fort Washington Park. With the exception of public recreational areas at the northern and southern ends of the subject property, the subject property primarily serves as a highway median between the northbound and southbound lanes of the Hudson River Greenway New York 9A. Near the intersection of the Henry Hudson Parkway and 190th Street, the subject property features a monument called, Inspiration Point, that is accessible from the foot path along the northbound lanes of New York Route 9A.
