Additional Property Attributes

Temple Emanuel is a three story building orginally constructed in 1882 for use as a Jewish Synagogue. Since its construction, the property/building has been used for many different things including a concert hall, door factory and printing press. See the Phase I for more information about property history. This TBA included a Phase I and a Phase II Environmental Assessment to help characterize environmental conditions on the property. An asbestos survey,lead based paint survey, PCB-containing equipment survey, soil sampling, indoor air and soil gas sampling were conducted for the Temple Emanuel Property. Asbestos containing material, Lead Based Paint, and PCB-containing equipment were identified, delineated, quanitified and cleanup options were made available for these additional and recognized environmental concerns. See the Phase II ESA report for more detail. The planned redevelopment for the property is to preserve and restore the property for community benefit.

Former Use: Temple Emanuel property was built for use as a Jewish Synagogue in 1882. Currently,the property is used for storage with a caretaker living onsite. The Temple Emanuel property has been used for many different things since its construction in 1882. See the Phase I report for more information.
