The Kansas Department of Health and Environment KDHE conducted a Phase I Property Redevelopment Assessment PRA at the Salina Airport Authority�Site V in Salina, Kansas. The PRA was conducted for the Salina Airport Authority through the Formerly Used Defense Sites FUDS Installations Program to expedite the transfer and redevelopment of the property, which is located within the boundary of a Formally Used Defense Facility. Based on the Phase I report, �Recognized Environmental Conditions� RECs were identified as potential petroleum and hazardous substances associated with: historical database listings and known contamination from adjacent facilities, including but not limited to Schilling AFB, and two large above ground storage tanks former located on the property that were identified in historical aerial photographs. A Phase II is recommended to commence.
