Additional Property Attributes

777 South Main Street is owned by the City of Waterbury. The site is fenced and secured.

Former Use: The Subject Property is comprised of one approximately 1.96-acre parcel of land located at 777 South Main Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. The boundaries of the Subject Property are depicted on figure 2 and are defined in the aerial tax assessor map included in Appendix I. The Subject Property is currently abandoned, unoccupied and unused and was historically used as a factory complex since approximately 1884. Several former building structures were used for a variety of manufacturing activities such as plating, storage, soldering, burnishing, stamping, pressing, finishing, etc. The Subject Property had common ownership with, and may have historically been used for similar activities associated with an adjoining industrial property at 835 South Main Street. Historical maps show a right-of-way and underground piping that traverse the central portion of the Subject Property and appear to provide a connection between the Mad River and 698 South Main Street.
