Additional Property Attributes

This is an approximately .99 acre site that is currently developed with a roughly 6,550 SF single story structure with basement and associated parking area. This site was inundated during the historic flooding that occured in the are in 2008. The city has purchased the property in order to install a stormwater pump station on the site using CDBG money they have received. It is estimated that around .75 acres will be available for resale after the pump station is installed.

Former Use: The site was first developed in the 1960's as an A&W restaurant and remained as such until the late 1970's when the structures associated with this restaurant were demolished. The site was subsequently redeveloped into its current state in the late 1970's and utilized as a pizza restaurant until 1990 when the site was purchased by Eychaner Properties, Inc. The on-site structure was remodeled to accommodate movie rental operations and continued to operate as a movie rental store until 2008 when the area was devastated by flood waters. The interior finishes of the structure were subsequently demolished and equipment associated with the former movie rental operations was removed. Since 2008 the site has remained vacant.
